New Features & Enhancements

1.00.00

·        SENTINEL, CODESOFT Enterprise, LABEL ARCHIVE Server, LABEL ARCHIVE Client, and LABELNET are automatically installed when you install TEKLYNX CENTRAL.

·        The user is only prompted once to enter database information during TEKLYNX CENTRAL installation.

·        A watch and watch folder (C:\watch) is automatically created in SENTINEL for LABELNET during TEKLYNX CENTRAL installation. The default configuration for LABELNET sends print requests to C:\watch.

·        Each TEKLYNX application configuration screen opens in a new window.

·        TEKLYNX CENTRAL prompts for a user name and password when the application is launched. The user will not need to re-enter their login information when launching LABEL ARCHIVE Client, LABEL ARCHIVE Server, LABELNET, or CODESOFT.

·        TEKLYNX CENTRAL allows users to enter their SMA number within the application.

·        TEKLYNX CENTRAL displays the total number of application licenses for administrators, label designers, print users, report users, and printers.

·        TEKLYNX CENTRAL users can update their licenses using a single tool for all license types.

·        Users can select a workstation on their network and install both CODESOFT Network Client and LABEL ARCHIVE Client simultaneously. When a user installs CODESOFT and LABEL ARCHIVE, TEKLYNX CENTRAL automatically configures both applications to point to the TEKLYNX CENTRAL server.

·        You can view status updates of all remote installations within TEKLYNX CENTRAL.

Known Limitations

·        The License Server requires restart of LABEL ARCHIVE Server and UMSS services.

·        Remote installation requires administrative privileges on the target computer.

·        The installation of TEKLYNX CENTRAL in a remote session on Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2003 R2 may be interrupted. For more information, visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2020855. To fix this, either run the installation directly on the server instead of through a remote desktop, or use the following command line to launch the client: MSTSC/admin.

·        To uninstall TEKLYNX CENTRAL, use the Remove TEKLYNX CENTRAL shortcut instead of the Add/Remove Programs option in the Windows control panel. A manual intervention will be needed to uninstall LABEL ARCHIVE Client and LABEL ARCHIVE Server.
